When Bob & Rich were 8 & 9 years old Owen Bahle sent them down in the store basement to stack shipping boxes. They had just seen “The Time Machine” at The Bay Theatre. When the coal feed auger came on it sounded like the cookers used by the subterranean Morlocks. And it would scare the bejesus out of them.

FYI: The Morlocks are underground monsters with glowing eyes and are rather frightening.

There is a scene of a city being destroyed by bombs and volcanoes. And a roomful of human bones/skeletons is seen.

A civilization several thousand years into the future which consists of the subterranean morlocks and the surface dwelling eloi.
